When Members Relocate (JAL Family Club)


JAL stands ready to serve you wherever you may go. Upon relocation, be sure to contact JAL Family Club in your region.

Relocation to Japan
< WHEN THE ENTIRE FAMILY RELOCATES TO JAPAN >
♦ JAL Family Club is not available in Japan. Families wishing to take advantage of "Family Pooling" must do so before relocating. "Family Pooling" is not permitted in Japan.
♦ JAL Family Club Premio card holders must contact Premio Customer Service Center.*2 If the membership is not cancelled, the annual fee may be charged automatically.
♦ Once the date of relocation is known, please book your flight with JAL.
  		•  When a Primary and Family Members fly JAL for relocation, KININ*3 Flight Bonus Mileage will be accumulated per member. Please refer to the box below.
  		• If the reserved flight is applicable for other bonus mileage, you can also earn it.
    ♦ JAL Family Club membership privileges cease upon arrival in Japan and your JAL Family Club membership is automatically changed to JAL Mileage Bank membership (no membership fee). The membership number remains the same.
    JAL Family Club annual membership fee shall not be refunded.
    ♦ Once residence is established, please notify JAL Family Club administrative office in Japan (03-5460-3999). When membership fee is paid by credit card, please note that the annual membership fee will be charged automatically if you do not notify JAL Family Club administrative office in Japan.
    ♦ The accumulated mileage, KININ*3 Flight Bonus Mileage, moving mileage, etc. will be transferred to each member's Japan region JMB account upon your notification to JAL Family Club administrative office in Japan.
    < WHEN ONLY THE PRIMARY MEMBER RELOCATES TO JAPAN >
    ♦ If only the original Primary Member relocates to Japan, you must designate one of your Family Members as the new Primary Member. The Primary Member must reside within the American region and be at least 12 years of age. Complete the "CHANGE OF PRIMARY MEMBER NOTIFICATION" form, and mail or fax to JAL Family Club Desk. The original Primary Member may continue to participate in JAL Family Club as a Family Member after relocating.
    ♦ The family membership fee payment will remain valid through its normal expiration date. Family Members are limited to the spouse, parents, and children and their spouses, of the newly designated Primary Member.
    ♦ Once the date of relocation is known, please book your flight with JAL.*2 Make sure to give your membership number when making a reservation.

    < WHEN A FAMILY MEMBER RELOCATES TO JAPAN >
    ♦ No particular procedure is necessary. The Family Member's membership privileges remain the same after relocating.
    ♦ Once the date of relocation is known, please book your flight with JAL.*2 Make sure to give your membership number when making a reservation.
  		•  When a Primary and Family Members fly JAL for relocation, KININ*3 Flight Bonus Mileage will be accumulated per member. Please refer to the box below.
  		• If the reserved flight is applicable for other bonus mileage, you can also earn it.
    ---KININ (Permanent Return / Move to Japan) Flight Bonus Mileage---
    Primary and Family Members who fly JAL Group's international flights for relocation can earn 3,000 bonus miles each during the campaign period.
    How to earn bonus mileage:
    Eligible flight period: April 1, 2008 to Mar. 31, 2009
    Eligible passengers: Primary and Family Members of JAL Family Club who fly JAL Group's international flights (including code share flights) paying eligible fares for flight mileage. Valid only for relocation, not for traveling.
    To add bonus mileage: After relocation, please notify JAL Family Club administrative office in Japan (03-5460-3999) to request an application form. Please note that you must apply within 6 months after the applicable flight. Bonus mileage will be accumulated to member's account approx. 2 weeks after completion of application.

    Relocation to Region Outside the American Region
    < WHEN THE ENTIRE FAMILY RELOCATES TO OUTSIDE THE AMERICAN REGION& gt;
    ♦ You are eligible to participate in JAL Family Club outside the American region. After relocation, please contact your nearest JAL Family Club for necessary arrangements.
    ♦ The mileage accumulated by each member will be transferred to the new region as member's own mileage upon notification to JAL Family Club. The mileage transfer between Primary Member and Family Members or among Family Members is not allowed.
    ♦ JAL Family Club Premio card holders must contact Premio Customer Service Center.*1 If the membership is not cancelled, the annual fee may be charged automatically.
    < WHEN ONLY THE PRIMARY MEMBER RELOCATES TO OUTSIDE THE AMERICAN REGION >
    ♦ If only the original Primary Member relocates, you must designate one of your Family Members as the new Primary Member.
