Carry-on Baggage Please limit your carry-on baggage to 1 piece. A passenger may carry on board one personal belonging, such as a handbag or camera, and one baggage satisfying the conditions below. As for baggage that exceeds the dimensions, or baggage that cannot be appropriately stowed in the cabin due to space limitations, we may ask the customer at the boarding gate or in the cabin to check-in their baggage for loading inside the cargo compartment. We would appreciate your understanding on this point. Passengers are requested to minimize the carry-on baggage to a minimum so as to facilitate the passenger flow through security check. Bulky Baggage Please contact JAL reservation or a JAL travel agent in advance if your baggage exceed the following size: Items that exceed 120cm (47 in.)(*) or total linear dimensions exceeding 203cm (80 in.). Items that weigh more than 32kg (70 Ibs.). Large musical instruments such as cello, contrabass and etc. Also, if you do not contact us, we may not accept your bulky baggage. (*)If the aircraft is 737, items that exceed 100cm(39 in.). London, Paris, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand routes Checked baggage exceeding 32kg(70 Ibs.) for 1 piece cannot be accepted in principle. Please either divide them to be less than 32kg(70 lbs.) or contact JAL office/travel agency for further information in advance. Free Baggage Allowance :Checked Baggage
Excess Baggage An excess baggage charge is required for baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance. Please check with the nearest JAL office or Reservations for details. Restricted Articles Carrying swords, knives, scissors of any kind, and other articles which can be used as a weapon aboard the plane is prohibited by law, and offenders will be fined up to JPY500,000. Passengers are requested to put these items into the checked baggage beforehand, or to confiscated these items at security check. (Disposal boxes for forbidden items are set at the security area.) * Some of the articles may not be allowed to carry even in the checked baggage by law. |
