Wheelchair An on-board wheelchair for in-cabin use is available. It is installed on all international flights of JAL. Please check with the nearest JAL GROUP office or Reservations for details. Special In-flight Meals JAL offers special in-flight meals for infants and small children, or particular health-related(such as a restricted diet, an allergy, etc.)or religious dietary requirements. These special meals must be reserved in advance. * Contact JAL GROUP office or your travel agent at least 24hours prior to departure. (Kosher Meal must be reserved 72hours prior to departure.) * Not available on short-distance routes with no meal service. * Baby meal for infants up to 2 years old and child meal for children between 2 and 12 years old. * Changes to special meal reservations must also be made 24hours prior to departure. Any changes requested after this time cannot be accommodated. Notice 1. Do not accept baggage or articles from others without checking the contents yourself. Never to agree to allow strangers to check-in their baggage with yours or to carry something by hand for others. 2. The use of electronic devices aboard aircrafts is restricted by Civil Aeronautics Law of Japan as below (will be amended from Apr., 2011). Please switch off restricted electronic devices before boarding. Those who break the law may be subject to fine of up to 500,000yen. (Civil Aeronautics Law, Enforcement, Article 164-15) Also, please switch off electronic devices in your checked baggage. Prohibited at all times Electronic devices that emit electronic signals: cell phones, PHS, transceivers, radio-controlled toys, wireless headphones, wireless earphones, wireless microphones, battery powered IC tags, personal computers(PC), personal digital assistants (PDA), wireless PC peripherals, electronic game machines, wireless pedometers, wireless heart rate monitors, wristwatches with wireless functions, wireless keys. Prohibited during take-off and landing *1 All of the above-mentioned items even in a non-electronic signals-emitting setting, TVs, radios, pagers, GPS receivers, video cameras, video players, DVD players, digital cameras, digital audio equipment, wired & battery type headphones, wired & battery type earphones, word processors, electronic organizers, electronic dictionaries, printers, battery chargers, toys with voice or touch activated speakers and monitors. (*1) Take-off: From the time of boarding to the time the belt sign is turned off, or the permission of the use of electronic devices is announced. Landing: From the time it is announced before landing that the use of electronic devices is prohibited to the time of disembarkation. # Company rules restrict the use of electronic devices other than the items mentioned above. 3. Please put a name tag with address on your baggage. In the event of damage or loss of baggage, please notify JAL when your baggage return. 4. There is a limit to a Carrier,s liability for checked baggage. Passengers may pay the prescribed excess value charge for valuable items at the time of check in to raise the limit of liability to the declared amount up to US$2,500.
