JAPAN AIRLINES UNVEILS NEW LOUNGES AT HONOLULU AIRPORT
On August 1, 2004, Japan Airlines unveiled their "new" Sakura Lounge and Sakura Lounge Luana at the Honolulu International Airport. The 7,000 square foot facility which comfortably accommodates 225 passengers, is conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the main terminal above Stinger Ray's Restaurant; just minutes away from the Japan Airlines check-in counters.

The Sakura Lounge provides first class, business class, and JAL Global Club members with complimentary use of an elegant and spacious area to relax and enjoy spectacular views of the garden courtyards and fishponds below. Decorated with a combination of leather and custom fabric chairs, Corian countertops, marble flooring, IT corner with Internet-ready computers, relaxation corner with two programmable massage lounges (available in September), and detailed woodwork throughout, the new Sakura Lounge is sure to please the most discriminating traveler.

The Sakura Lounge Luana is a new concept for Japan Airlines in Honolulu. Connected to the Sakura Lounge, this area is for passengers traveling on qualifying economy class fares. Luana, a Hawaiian word which means to relax, and to enjoy the pleasant surroundings is decorated in a casual yet sophisticated and modern style. Complimentary services offered to customers in the Sakura Lounge Luana include an unobstructed view of the garden courtyards below, children's play area, a large 70" television and a circular bar-style seating area.

In addition, both lounges feature self-serve beverage counters, wireless Internet, and use of the powder room, nursing room facility with a baby-changing table, and men's and women's restrooms, which feature warm water bidets.
