International Flight Information Mail Service

In case of flight cancellation, departure delay or other changes in flight operation due to weather conditions, or such, we will provide information on the latest status of your reserved flight and the updated departure/arrival time to up to 3 e-mail addresses. Please register the e-mail addresses over the JAL Website when making reservations, confirming reservations, or using the Web check-in service.JMB members are eligible to recieve e-mails automatically in below cases, when registered beforehand.

JAL Mileage Bank members(JMB members)

JMB members who subscribe to this service by logging in to the "E-mail Address Registration" screen and Change" and selecting "Yes" for "Request flight irregularity information" will receive e-mail notifications without the need to register for this service each time they make a new flight reservation. To subscribe to this convenient feature, please follow the necessary steps as follows.

*Please note that JMB members who register their e-mail address with JAL Mileage Bank may also be sent e-mail newsletters and other e-mail communications.

  • *When making your reservation, please make sure you provide your JMB membership number.
  • *JMB members are allowed to register one e-mail address only.
    Customers can also additionally register one PC e-mail address and one mobile phone e-mail address for the International Flight Information Mail Service. These additional e-mail addresses will be valid only for the relevant travel reservation and must be registered again for each new travel reservation.

Content of Mail

We will send information on the latest status of your reserved flight in the following situations by e-mail on the day of departure or the day before. By registering your mobile phone address, you can receive such information before arriving at the airport.

  • When the flight is cancelled
    We will send information when your reserved flight has been cancelled.
  • When departure is delayed by 30 minutes or more
    We will send information when it has been decided to delay the departure of your reserved flight by 30 minutes or more. As soon as your delayed flight has departed and taken-off, we will send information of the estimated time of arrival.
  • When the flight returns to the original airport or diverts
    We will send information when your flight returns to the original airport or diverts.
  • When your flight returns to the original airport or departs after diverting
    We will send information of the updated departure/arrival time when your flight returns to the original airport or departs after diverting.

Applicable Customers

Customers who have followed the procedures below over the JAL Website are eligible to use the "International Flight Information Mail Service."
Customers who have made reservations or purchased tickets at JAL offices including by phone, and customers who have made reservations or purchased tickets with travel agents can also register by following any one of the procedures below.

  • 1. Customers who have made reservations and purchased tickets over the JAL Website (including special award tickets)
  • 2. Customers who have confirmed reservations and registered their e-mail address on the "Reservation Details" screen.
  • 3. Customers who have registered their e-mail address on the Web check-in screen.
  • 4. Customers who are JMB members and who have subscribed to this service by logging in to the "E-mail Address Registration and Change" screen and selecting "Yes" for "Request flight irregularity information."

*This service is not applicable to customers who are unable to confirm reservations over the JAL Website or use JAL's Web check-in service (e.g. package tour customers).

How to Register

To use this service, please access the registration screen as follows.
*JMB members who have subscribed to the International Flight Information Mail Service by logging in to the "E-mail Address Registration and Change" screen and selecting "Yes" for "Request flight irregularity information" do not need to complete this registration process.

International Flight Information Mail Service Registration
Register up to 3 e-mail addresses.
  • * When you have input your JMB number, which has been registered to "International Flight Information Mail Service", to your reservations made over the overseas JAL Website (www.jal.com), an e-mail will be automatically sent to your registered e-mail address at JMB without having to register a new address on this page.

Precautions and Information

  • Besides the mail address registered above, International Flight Information Mail Service will automatically be provided to the JMB members registered in Domestic Flight Information service as well.
  • The information of domestic flights connecting onto the International flights are excluded.
  • E-mails will be sent when the situation has changed. (e.g. 30 min. departure delay is changed to flight cancellation).
  • Basically, information on code-share flights operated by partner airlines is not included in this service.
    Please check the operating carrier´s Website for the latest information.
  • E-mail may be received at midnight to the early morning.
