How to get to Tokyo

From Narita Airport

Narita Airport is 60 km to the east of central Tokyo. Major means of access include buses, trains and private automobiles. Please confirm travel times and costs before use.
  • Japan Railways - 03-3423-0111 (JR East)

    Narita Express Train
    About 53 min. non-stop to Tokyo Station. Some trains go to Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, and Yokohama.

    Sobu Line Rapid Train
    About 83min. to Tokyo Station. At Tokyo, the Sobu Line becomes the Yokosuka Line for Yokohama and subsequently traverses into the Miura Peninsula.

    To Tokyo City Air Terminal (TCAT)
    About 55 min. Two to seven departures per hour. Thirty airlines have departure check-in counters through TCAT, near Suitengu-mae subway Station or 8 min. walk from Ningyocho Station in Tokyo.

Haneda can be reached by monorail from JR Hamamatsucho Station, by Keihin Kyuko Line from JR Shinagawa Station, or by limousine bus from JR / subway Tokyo Station, JR / subway Shinjuku Station, major hotels, and Narita Airport.

First class passes (for use with green cars) and ordinary type passes (for use on standard cars) are available. Sold in 7 day, 14 day, and 21 day expirations. Fees for ordinary type passes are 28,300 yen, 45,100 yen, and 57,700 yen. Green car fees are 37,800 yen, 61,200 yen, and 79,600 yen. JR Rail passes allow you to travel using the entire Japan Railway (JR) system throughout Japan with few exceptions. East Japan passes, West Japan passes, and passes for Kyushu, and Hokkaido are also available for use within those areas. Prices and length of passes may vary.
