Take to the Water!

Another entry onto the long list of water sports to be enjoyed in Okinawa is stand up paddle surfing, which originated in Hawaii and is an offshoot of surfing. In addition to breathtaking beaches and stunning blue waters, the Okinawan coastlines are home to numerous bays perfect for a stand up paddle surfing experience, especially for first timers or those unable to swim. Wearing a life jacket, beginner paddlers can take to the water without fear of encountering adverse weather conditions (except in the event of a typhoon) or big waves thanks to the protection which bays throughout Okinawa provide.
