Things to see

Lake Kawaguchiko

Lake Kawaguchiko
Lake Kawaguchiko
One of the Fujigoko, and has the largest circumference, and the lowest altitude. A small island called Unoshima floats in the middle of the lake. There are several spots ideal to view Fujisan, which are themselves scenic spots. The southern side opens out framing the beautiful Fujisan. The inverted Fuji reflection on the lake is also breathtaking. Kawaguchiko was the first to be developed for tourism among the five lakes, with touristic facilities, campsites, Japanese-style hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops along the lakeside streets. Leisure-fishing of black bass is officially permitted here, while stocked trout are also abundant.
