Miho no Matsubara Pine Tree Grove
Miho no Matsubara has been the subject of many waka poems ever since the Manyoshu (The Anthology of Myriad Leaves) was compiled, as well as being the setting of the Noh legend Hagoromo (Robe of Feathers). From the 15th to 16th century, a typical Fujisan painting would have Miho no Matsubara painted in the foreground. Through these paintings and many other artistic works, Miho no Matsubara is widely known as a scenic spot for a fine view of Fujisan.
