| These are ruins of a temple that the third lord, Hidehira, built in the late 12th century to emulate the Hoo-do (Phoenix Hall) of Byodo-in in Uji, Kyoto and buildings surrounding Amida-do Hall. The temple was devastated from a fire but the ruins of the buildings and ponds were preserved in good condition. |
