Information about JMB Fly On Program

JMB CRYSTAL - JMB CRYSTAL is the first tier in the JMB FLY ON Program, offering services aimed at maximizing your travel experience.

JMB CRYSTAL - Enjoy the new level of luxury -

JMB members who have accrued at least 30,000 FLY ON Points or have boarded at least 30 eligible flights of 10,000 FLY ON Points on JAL Group Airlines and/or oneworld member airlines In a calendar year will be enrolled in JMB CRYSTAL.

First entrance to the “FLY ON Program”.
“JMB CRYSTAL” will provide you with comfort in the air.

"JMB CRYSTAL" members can also use the oneworld RUBY Services.

If JGC members are qualified for "JMB CRYSTAL" status, they can use the oneworld SAPPHIRE Services.

  • Applicable to the numbers of boarded JAL Group flights with fares eligible for JMB mileage accumulation.
  • You must take 4 JAL Group flights with fares eligible for JMB mileage accumulation during the applicable year.
  • JGC CRYSTAL card will be issued after JGC member achieves CRYSTAL Status.

  • “JMB CRYSTAL” is not given in duplication with other services of “JAL Global Club”.
  • Please note that the contents of the services are subject to change without notice.
The period of services introduced are as indicated below. [From 2 Months After] - Services and benefits available from two months after the date of accumulating sufficient Fly On Points. Valid through March 31 of second year following membership qualification. [From April 1 of Next Year] - Services and benefits available from April 1 of the following year after accumulating sufficient Fly On Points. Priority Waitlisting

When your preferred JAL Group flight is fully booked, priority waitlisting will apply based on the type of fares. When your preferred oneworld member airlines flights are fully booked, priority waitlisting will also apply at the respective oneworld member reservation centers.

Mile-up Bonus

JMB CRYSTAL members will receive an additional 50% sector bonus miles on JAL Group airlines flights when traveling with eligible fares during the eligible period.

  • Mile-Up Bonus is not awarded in duplication with JALCARD Bonus Miles.

Airport Lounge Access(Japan Domestic Flights only)

Lounge Access with lounge coupons (mileage deduction)

Members can apply for five airport lounge coupons(not transferable), valid for Japan domestic airport lounges and issued in exchange for 5,000 JMB Miles. Airport lounge coupons must be requested and received prior to travel. (DIAMOND · PREMIER LOUNGE access is not permitted.)

  • Please present a lounge coupon on each access to the lounge.
  • Please note that there are routes and flights for which this service may not apply.
  • JAL Global Club (JGC) Members may access to the lounge on presentation of JGC Membership cards.

Executive Class check-in counter

Japan Domestic flights :

JGC check-in counters. (Only when flying "Class J")
When flying with oneworld member airlines, you can use the priority check-in counter indicating oneworld tier status.

  • Dedicated counters may be established later for the International flights depending on the airports.
  • Available when flying "Class J" on JAL Domestic routes or JTA routes.

Priority Baggage Service when boarding on “class J”

JMB CRYSTAL members can collect their baggage before other passengers at baggage claim.

  • This service is available when flying in "Class J" on JAL Domestic routes or JTA routes.

Extra Checked Baggage Allowance

In addition to the standard checked baggage allowance, JMB CRYSTAL members are allowed to check one extra pieces of checked baggage (or up to 10kg extra baggage where baggage allowance is based on the weight system) at no extra charge.

JGC members are eligible for the same service given to JMB SAPPHIRE.

  • Priority Check-in, Priority Baggage Service, Extra Checked Baggage Allowance are available for members only. Not available for code-share flights operated by partner airlines.
  • Priority Baggage Service and Extra Checked Baggage Allowance are not available when the baggage is checked through to/from flights operated by other airlines.

Priority Boarding (International Flights Only)

By presenting the CRYSTAL card and boarding pass, the members have the privilege to board prior to the regular passengers, with the First/Executive Class passengers, on JAL and JALways flights.

  • Priority Boarding Service is available for members only.
  • Service may not be available for some airports and flights.

Priority Standby at the International and Japan Domestic Airports

By presenting the CRYSTAL card, priority standby will apply when you wait for a seat on JAL Group Airlines flight or on oneworld member airlines flight at the airport on departure day.

  • For Japan domestic flights, standby number is applicable to First Class, Class J and regular seats.
  • This service may not be available at some airports or for flights, and may not be available in the event of bad weather such as typhoon and heavy snow.

Upgrade

Upgrade Certificate

Eligible members will receive one upgrade certficates. Members can upgrade to the next higher class to service on JAL international/JALways flights by using these certificates. Economy Class can be upgraded to Executive Class or Executive Class to First Class for international flights. Certificates are transferable to the member's family.

From April 1 of Next Year

Upgrade Certificate for “class J” (Japan Domestic Flights Only)

Eligible members will receive four upgrade certificates. Members can upgrade to “Class J” on JAL Group Airlines domestic flights by using those certificates.Certificates are transferable to the member's family.

oneworld tier status for JGC CRYSTAL card members

JAL Global Club members who possess JGC CRYSTAL cards can receive the following oneworld SAPPHIRE services when flying on oneworld member airlines.

  • Priority Waitlisting
  • Priority Check-in
  • Priority Standby at the International and Japan Domestic Airports
  • Priority Boarding (International Flights only)
  • Airport Lounge Access (Japan Domestic Flights only)

JGC CRYSTAL card members can use the lounges of member airlines of oneworld alliance located in more than 400 airports worldwide. The member and one traveling companion are allowed to enter the lounge.

  • For details of lounges when flying on oneworld member airlines flights, please ask the airport staff of respective airlines at the time of check-in.
  • Lounge access by using lounge coupon is not permitted.
  • JMB CRYSTAL members are not allowed to receive these services.
