JMB SAPPHIRE - Rewarding our frequent fliers. JMB Sapphire offers extensive services to support your travel needs.

A "thank you" for our most valuable customers. "JMB SAPPHIRE" will provide you with the best services to enrich your travel.

JMB members who have accrued at least 50,000 FLY ON Points or have boarded at least 50 eligible flights of 15,000 FLY ON Points on JAL Group Airlines and/or oneworld member airlines in a calendar year will be enrolled in JMB SAPPHIRE.

"JMB SAPPHIRE" members can also use the oneworld SAPPHIRE Services.

Applicable to the numbers of boarded JAL Group flights with fares eligible for JMB mileage accumulation.
You must take 4 JAL Group flights with fares eligible for JMB mileage accumulation during the applicable year.

Note:

"JMB SAPPHIRE" is not given in duplication with other services of "JAL Global Club".
Please note that the contents of the services are subject to change without notice.

The period of services introduced are as indicated below. [From 2 Months After] - Services and benefits available from two months after the date of accumulating sufficient Fly On Points. Valid through March 31 of second year following membership qualification. [From April 1 of Next Year] - Services and benefits available from April 1 of the following year after accumulating sufficient Fly On Points. Valid through March 31 of second year following membership qualification.

When your preferred JAL Group flight is fully booked, priority waitlisting will apply based on the type of fares. When your preferred oneworld member airlines flights are fully booked, priority waitlisting will also apply at the respective oneworld member reservation centers.

JMB SAPPHIRE members will receive an additional 100% sector bonus miles on JAL Group airlines flights when traveling with eligible fares during the eligible period.

Mile-Up Bonus is not awarded in duplication with JALCARD Bonus Miles.

Airport lounge service is available when flying on JAL Group airlines flights.

Lounge access for the member and one traveling companion upon presentation of the “SAPPHIRE” card.
(DIAMOND · PREMIER LOUNGE access is not permitted.)

Members can take a third and a fourth companion to the airport lounge using two airport lounge coupons issued in exchange for 4,000 JMB Miles. Airport lounge coupons must be requested and received prior to travel.
(DIAMOND · PREMIER LOUNGE access is not permitted.)

Maximum of four persons (including the member and traveling companions) are allowed for a single entrance to the lounge.
Please present one lounge coupon per person for each use of the lounge.
Please note that there are fares, routes and flights for which this service may not apply.

When you fly with oneworld member airlines, you can use their lounges located in more than 400 airports worldwide. The member and one traveling companion are allowed to enter the lounge.

For details of lounges when flying on oneworld member airlines flights, please ask the airport staff of respective airlines at the time of check-in.
Lounge access by using lounge coupon is not permitted.

By presenting the SAPPHIRE CARD, all of the Services indicated below will be available upon departure when flying on JAL Group airlines flghts.

JAL Global Club(JGC) check-in counters
When flying with oneworld member airlines, you can use the priority check-in counter indicating oneworld tier status.

* You can use Executive class counters if First class counters are not available.
* JAL Global Club (JGC) counters are available at Narita and Kansai airports.
※This services may not be available depending on the airlines, routes, airport facilities and fares.

JMB SAPPHIRE members can collect their baggage before other passengers at baggage claim.

In addition to the standard checked baggage allowance, JMB SAPPHIRE members are allowed to check two extra pieces of checked baggage (or up to 20kg extra baggage where baggage allowance is based on the weight system) at no extra charge.

Priority Check-in, Priority Baggage Service, Extra Checked Baggage Allowance are available for members only. Not available for code-share flights operated by partner airlines.
Priority Baggage Service and Extra Checked Baggage Allowance are not available when the baggage is checked through to / from flights operated by other airlines.

By presenting the SAPPHIRE card and boarding pass, the members have the privilege to board prior to the regular passengers, with the First/Executive Class passengers, on JAL, JALways flight or on oneworld member airlines flight.

Priority Boarding Service is available for members only.
Service may not be available for some airports and flights.
When you board oneworld member airlines flight, in some cases priority boarding service will be provided even for the domestic flight.

By presenting the SAPPHIRE card, priority standby will apply when you wait for a seat on JAL Group Airlines flight or on oneworld member airlines flight at the airport on departure day.

For Japan domestic flights, standby number is applicable to First Class, Class J and regular seats.
This service may not be available at some airports or for flights, and may not be available in the event of bad weather such as typhoon and heavy snow.

By presenting the SAPPHIRE card and boarding pass, the member and one traveling companion can use the exclusive security check service "JAL Fast Security Lane", when they fly on JAL Group Airlines' international flights departing from Narita Airport Terminal 2.

This service is available when members fly on a code-share flight bearing a JAL flight number and operated by the partner airlines departing from Narita Airport Terminal 2. However, this service is not available when members fly on a code-share flight bearing a flight number of partner airlines and operated by JAL.

Eligible members will receive three upgrade certficates. Members can upgrade to the next higher class to service on JAL international/JALways flights by using these certificates. Economy Class can be upgraded to Executive Class or Executive Class to First Class for international flights. Certificates are transferable to the member's family.

For international flights, one certificate is required per sector to upgrade the class of service.
Upgrade Certificates are eligible for boarding on JAL flights only in case of flying the JAL international code share flights.
Some restrictions apply for this service regarding the eligible person, fare and dates.
Introducing a new Upgrade Points system

Eligible members will receive eight upgrade certificates. Members can upgrade to “Class J” on JAL Group Airlines domestic flights by using those certificates. Certificates are transferable to the member's family.

JMB members who are eligible for JMB SAPPHIRE or JMB DIAMOND will be invited to join an exclusive club, JAL Global Club (JGC), designed to cater to the needs of our most experienced travelers.
For enrollment,some restrictions apply.
Please contact the JAL Group offices in your area of residence.

Failure to complete registration within the designated period indicated on the invitation may defer your JGC membership until the next time you attain the required number of FLY ON Points. Some restrictions apply upon registration.
Employees of any airline companies and travel agencies are not eligible for JAL Global Club membership.
Membership is valid for one year, with deduction of 5,000 miles for the annual fee from the member's JMB account. (For JAL FAMILY CLUB members, 5,000 miles may be deducted using family pooling. ) An application form will be sent from the JMB Center on your achievement of 5,000 FLY ON Points.
JAL CARD CLUB-A, CLUB-A GOLD and JAL Diners Card members will be exempt from payment of the JGC annual fee.
